En organisk syre der bl.a. er fundet i rosmarin (Rosmarinus officinalis L.) og vedbend (Hedera helix L.). Rosmarinsyre indeh. et asymmetrisk carbon-atom hvorfor rosmarionsyre kan forekomme i to isomere former, en R-form og en S-form. Rosmarinsyre forekommer som R-formen i vedbend og rosmarin. Rosmarinsyre har anti-viral effekt, er cytostatisk og modvirker betændelse.
