Sulfur exist in several allotrophic forms e.g. cyclohexa sulfur and cycloocta sulfur. Sulfur is a component in many biochemical molecules, e.g. amino acids as methionine and cystine, in the vitamin lipoic acid and in membrane lipids as sulfoquinovosyl diacylglycerol.
